It is actually statistically harder for a team to be this consistently bad than to occasionally accidentally be good. The probability is staggering

Tim Couch
Ty Detmer
Doug Pedersen
Spergon Wynn
Kelly Holcomb
Jeff Garcia
Luke McCown
Trent Dilfer
Charlie Frye
Derek Anderson
Brady Quinn
Ken Dorsey
Bruce Gradkowski
Colt McCoy
Jake Delhomme
Seneca Wallace
Brandon Weeden
Thaddeus Lewis
Brian Hoyer

THAT is staggering.

@ESPNCleveland: .@TonyGrossi: Sunday marks #Browns 196th game since 1999. Brian Hoyer will be their 19th starting QB in that time.

That is unbelievable. For anyone who cares, that equates to a new starter every 10.3 games.

Ugh, I hate this franchise, but I can't get away from it

You can break the clowns qb carousel up into a few categories:

High draft picks that went bust
Couch
Quinn
Weeden (I'm extrapolating here)

Mid-level (2nd-4th rd) draft picks that never came to be
McCown
Frye
McCoy

Grizzled veterans that did nothing
Garcia
Dilfer
Delhomme
Wallace

Veteran washout fill ins
Pedersen
Holcomb
Dorsey
Gradkowski
Detmer

Flinging poo against the wall
Wynn
Anderson (actually worked for almost a season before imploding in spectacular fashion)
Lewis
Hoyer
