Those are all guys that could fit into our 3-4 scheme.

We need to get at least one of these guys, and/or Ngata this draft.

No chance we get Ngata unless we trade up. He will be long gone before Cleveland even thinks about taking him.

I was talking to the head scout of the Jacksonville Jaguars earlier this year, whom is also my father's cousin, he said "between me and you, you can have Gabe Watson".

I think Ngata is still a small possibility, maybe a 20% chance at the worst.

The Bills could take him at #8, but some have said that he wouldnt be a good fit for them. Then if the Cardinals pass on him, we would be the next team that would likely draft him.

Its been confirmed that both Bart Scott and Kalimba Edwards are in town.

CLEVELAND (March 11, 2006) -- LeCharles Bentley and Joe Jurevicius are coming home to play for the Browns.
The high-prized free agent center and the veteran wide receiver, who both grew up in Cleveland rooting for the city's beleaguered NFL team, signed with the Browns, who didn't waste any time spending some of the millions they have for free agency.
"I can die happy now," said Bentley, who wore a Browns jersey under his sports coat. "This has been my dream."
Bentley, who played the past four seasons for New Orleans, brings toughness, size and experience to Cleveland's offensive line, which has been both inept and ignored by the team in recent years.
Bentley's deal is through 2011.
Jurevicius, who got a four-year deal, has played in three Super Bowls, including last season for the Seattle Seahawks. The 31-year-old gives the Browns a dependable receiver to complement Braylon Edwards.
"This is where it all started for me," Jurevicius said. "I had opportunities to go to a couple different places. First and foremost, I wanted to become a Cleveland Brown, put on the orange helmet, play in front of Lake Erie and enjoy the feelings.
"This is going to add years to my career because of excitement that comes along with it."
In addition, the Browns signed free-agent left tackle Kevin Shaffer, who will replace L.J. Shelton as a starter.
Shelton, who played one season with the Browns after signing a one-year deal in June, became a free agent when he couldn't reach agreement with the club on an extension this winter. When Shelton's return became unlikely, the Browns turned their attention to available tackles on the market and quickly snatched Shaffer.
Signing Bentley, a two-time Pro Bowl player regarded as one of the premier unrestricted free agents, is another sign the Browns, who went 6-10 last season, are headed in the right direction under general manager Phil Savage and coach Romeo Crennel.
The Browns haven't been able to compete with the Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers, and need more players of Bentley's caliber to close the gap.
Bentley can't wait to be a part of the Browns-Steelers rivalry.
"That's football," he said. "That's what it's all about. I want to be in those games. I can't wait to come out of the tunnel at Cleveland Stadium. I'm excited, and I can't wait to be part of that tradition and leave my own legacy."
Bentley's arrival means the Browns will have to move or release injury-prone center Jeff Faine. A former first-round pick, Faine has played well in spurts but has finished the past three years on injured reserve. It wouldn't make sense for the Browns to keep Faine as a high-priced backup.
Bentley, who played at Ohio State, will bring immediate help to Cleveland's running game and bolster an offense that was last in the league in scoring last season. The 315-pounder is a powerful blocker who can push the pile up front, and he's speedy enough to get outside and pick off a linebacker or cornerback.
The 26-year-old Bentley was selected in the second round of the 2002 draft by New Orleans. He began his career as a guard before moving to center.
Shaffer, also 26, started all 16 games for the Atlanta Falcons last season. He was drafted in the seventh round in 2002.
Jurevicius, who played at Lake Catholic High School on Cleveland's east side, has 233 career receptions for 3,010 yards and 30 touchdowns. He also played on Super Bowl teams with the New York Giants and Tampa Bay.

Faine and Ryan Tucker were the Browns best linemen, but Faine has gotten hurt pretty much ever season so I see Bentley taking over Coleman's spot at RG and filling in at center if Faine goes down. Regardless, the Browns now have 6 solid NFL OL so they should be good for the season.
I think their main goal now should be to find a good NT since I don't think they will be able to get one in the draft. There will be several OLB's that they could get in the draft that would be able to start right away, and possibly a DE as well. Depending how much money they have left my priority list is NT, DE, OLB.
I love seeing all these Cleveland guys coming back to play for the Brown. If more Ohio guys would come back to Cleveland and give the hometown discount the Browns could be one of the better teams in the NFL.

I read an article on the scout site that said the Browns never went after that big NT from Baltimore. It said that the asking price was ridiculous, so Savage didnt pursue him.

Pickett, Washington and Adams are the three best NT's left. I think its crucial that we get one of them, hopefully Pickett because hes the youngest.

Agree, and I'd love to see them make a run for Matt Wilhelm. He's never really gotten a shot out in SD and wouldn't take up much cap space.

Brodrick Bunkley might be available at 12, he looks like he would be a pretty good NT.

Isn't Wilhelm a restricted FA?

As to LB, I believe he said during the offseason he would only sign with a team to play center. I really don't care where he plays as long as it is in the right position for the team.

Look for another hometown guy, Dave Zastudil (Bay/Ohio), to sign soon. He's a huge upgrade at P.

As far as Wilhlem, I honestly don't know what it would take to sign him, but it seems like SD isn't even willing to give him a chance. What would it take to sign him?
