We go 13th in the 4th. Picked up an extra 6th in the trade earlier. :crossed fingers:Kudla:crossed fingers:So are we done for today? Didn't we aquire an extra pick in the 4th round?
I must be missing something. More picks the better for Savage.Yeah we're done for the day.
We have 2 4th and 5th rounders.
That Wilson pick is mind boggling...What the hell? There are so many great players left on the board...
I cant even find a bio on him.
I'm not crazy about it either, but I'll defer to Savage's judgement. Lot of picks on day 2 as well to continue filling more needs.Sounds more like a 6th round pick than a 3rd round gamble.
If you guys can't tell, this pick really pisses me off. We were doing really well till this.

The Browns added a potential weapon on offense with the evening's last pick, snaring Oklahoma wideout Travis Wilson. Wilson was ranked the seventh best receiver available in this year's draft by Scout.com's draft experts...

In one sense, the Browns got a bargain in WR Travis Wilson. With the 78th pick in the draft, Phil Savage called the name of the 77th best player available, according to Scout's draft experts. The Oklahoma receiver is unlikely to make as big a splash as last year's pick, Charlie Frye, but he's got a lot of potential.
Wilson was slowed by a foot injury during his senior year, which caused his numbers and draft position to fall off as he posted 310 yards on 25 receptions. The prior year, however, Wilson had a career-high 660 yards on fifty receptions.
A tallish receiver at 6-2, Wilson has very good natural pass-catching skills and is able to hold onto the ball when taking a hit. He's not a deep threat, but could turn into a solid possession receiver learning behind Joe Jurevicius.
TFY Draft Preview's Tony Pauline wrote in his scouting report for Wilson last month that Wilson "could be one of the draft's better bargains late in Day One". The Browns sure hope so, and if Wilson can return to the form he displayed his junior year - and showed again at the Senior Bowl - the Browns may have gotten quite a bargain indeed.
Same here.
I would rather we even picked Watson then this guy. Thats 3 players from Oklahoma in the last 2 years...
“What really happened is coming in we had three linebackers who we thought were second-round values,” he said. “DeMeco Ryans and Rocky McIntosh were gone and we had a chance to get who we wanted and get something for Jeff.”
