The recruiting gurus would have to chime in but from my casual observer seat I seem to recall Dabo being very anti-NIL and recruiting reflecting that?

Could be a cautionary tale for those who don't believe talent follows money (in any walk of life).

He is that - plus his recruiting of offensive linemen especially hasn't been great for the past 5 or 6 years. Jackson Carman was a huge bust, etc.

Yeah, he is handcuffing Clemson big time. Everyone thought OSU was behind on the NIL power curve - Clemson is a long, looong ways away from competitiveness in the money department.

Clempson isn't gonna fire him. And DeBoer is more likely to be fired before Dabo. You'll see him in Tuscaloosa by 2030.

I don’t know man. It’s not like Clemson can’t figure the monetary piece out if they just pivoted their philosophy. If you’re the board at Clemson or the AD isn’t that a tough convo opportunity?

Look we want this to work, but there needs to be a shift in the way things are done or we need to look for a better fit if as the sport changes and the on field results continue in this direction.

I mean whatever I don’t care fuck the entire school, its fanbase and everything about them but the sensibility aspect is what’s baffling to me.

Clemson was paying players under the table. It's why Dabo was so against NIL. Can't compete now that it's all out in the open. You're seeing what he's actually capable of.

I suspect he will continue to look #2 in most games this year. I just hope that voters next year understand that #2 means #2 in the country, not each game.
