High School Clarksville - Clinton Massie Falcons

This year, yes. This is one of those dream classes, most smaller schools wish for. They have weapons everywhere. They can run and pass. Their WR is going to Boston College, they have a LB/TE headed to Michigan. Their RB is one of the best in DIV. Good luck.

I have watched both Hartley (several times) and St.Clairsville. I kind of agree with Roll Red Roll. St. Clairsville is solid across the board and have some great athletes especially for a smaller school. Having said that, what the Falcons did to Hartley was shocking to me. Hartley has DIV 1 talent in several areas and they were able to contain them. I think this is going to be a great game. I think Falcons win this one by a touchdown.

This should definitely be a good game. I think Massie's strength is definitely its Defense. They get lots of penetration and don't give opposing teams much time to throw the ball. On offense, Massie is one-dimensional. They run the ball 90% of the time, and they run it darn well. They are really effective when they do pass though. Sounds like this game is going to be strength on strength. Should be a good one.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Lots of points would be the answer at first glance as Clinton-Massie has already set a state record for points in a season and St. Clairsville is within shouting distance of becoming just the fifth team in state history to surpass 700 points in a season. However, both teams bring strong and underrated defensive credentials into this game. Smart was named Associated Press Division IV Defensive Player of the Year this week.

Would've liked to have seen a view straight across the goaline on that last touchdown by Massie. From the two angles they showed I slowed it down and if he was in before he got the ball poked out, it wasn't by more than six inches. Things would've got real interesting if they call that a touchback. Heck of a game though, Massie was the better team but I was impressed with the way St. Clairsville continued to come back.
