Cincinnati Reds (2026 Season Thread)

The Reds way brother

Speaking of that;

Hector Rodriguez, 22 year old OF at AAA, in two years of combined AAA stats he's slashing .286/.339/.475. He has 26 HR THIS YEAR already. He's on the 40 man roster and the OF in front of him in Cincy suck dick like it's their job.

Never even a peep of this guy getting a call up. Are we so good in the OF that we don't need the help?

:shrug:

Pretty wild to see so much heavy, steady rain come down at the Reds game. In the burbs north, I have seen nothing.

Pittsburgh manager got ejected bitching about this unofficial rain delay while the grounds crew is trying to salvage the field. Not sure what his argument is - there is a cartoon cloud hanging over the stadium and it should clear out any time now.

Burns pitched like an ace again today - I think he struck out his last 5 batters. He might not have given up a hit or a run but for the weather being bad that inning for him.

Offense showed up today as well, as they seem to do more often for Burns.

Stevie value is at an all time high so the Reds better get more than a bag of balls for him!
He's been playing great. Even his at-bats that haven't ended up as hits have been really hard hit balls (like the one that was scalded back to the pitcher today). He has been throwing runners out, and his ABS challenges on the Umps calls have been at the top of the league. Great dude in the locker room and community as well. The first two games this series, he got hits in each game and walked a total of 5 times. That's a lot of getting on base.

So his first at-bat in a Reds uniform was a home run. And his last at-bat might be a home run as well (it will be if he's traded tonight). That's got to be pretty rare.
