Cincinnati Reds (2026 Season Thread)

2 innings for Burns yesterday. 12 all spring. I'd love for someone in modern baseball to explain to me how pitching so few innings gets you ready to pitch a lot in the regular season (these new pitching regimens certainly haven't lessened pitcher injuries. if anything it seems like there more pitching injuries than ever)

Tom Glavine was on several Braves shows recently bemoaning the current training.
Yes, guys are throwing harder than ever and the movement is bananas.

But at what expense? Most bullpen sessions have guys hitting 92-94 miles an hour.
He said he never in 305 wins threw harder than 80% in a bullpen sesh. Dudes are working too hard.

Watching the game from a Sox fan’s perspective the Reds Offense is mostly a complete joke. Still strike out with RISP with less than 2 outs and an alarmingly embarrassing rate. At no point did the game ever get anxious for me. Even with the bases loaded and 1 out I felt the next 2 hitters would be easy K’s and they were.
Glad Elly got ripped this off season. He needs the extra muscle to carry his massive ego and unrealistic expectations. Honestly he’s the most hilariously overrated Reds player I’ve seen since Kal Daniels.
