TJ Friedl is hitting .218/.340/.282 over his last 47 games dating back to the Yankees series in June. That includes 10 HBP to boost that OBP. He’s also made a handful of defensive miscues in there. He’s already 30 with below average speed.

on the lighter side, for me, it seemed like 8 of those 10 HBP were consecutive in a couple of games

Lol, Elly was helpless against the 0-1 slider, then the 0-2 slider. Two batters later Lux sees the exact same stuff and works a walk, never biting on the sliders. Elly just can't concentrate. Idk, maybe it will all come together when he moves to center field, his apparently more natural pisition, and has days off.
