Freaking Elly. You have to understand the situation. Just throw the fucking ball to first. If you don't get the dp, fine - that happens with slowly hit grounders - you got 2 outs with your closer on the mound. I'd personally rather have just a normal shortstop who doesn't do the most boneheaded shit at the absolute wrong time, when you know it's coming. Is he really worth it? Idk, they could get a lot for him, maybe more than he's worth. Can't just outright give the other team runs.
Of course, next team he plays for, they will tell him to raise his back elbow, stop jittering, and bend his knees a little in the battery's box, and he'll suddenly transform into a .300, 30+ guy.
