Cincinnati Reds (2025 is our year! Haha thats actually funny)

Welcome back Matty. Sure did miss you.

If he's really back then we have the best up the middle team in baseball. @Jaxbuck been saying it so maybe we get Espinal to go full time at 3rd and keep Steer on the come up and we might be in business. Just need the corner outfield to get right. Where have we heard that before?

Also if Marte comes back up playing like be was before the injury he's at 3rd full time in my book. CES is on notice on my opinion and Benson can rake but his Defense is brutally give and take like Fraley. Need them to catch fire after the All Star break.

What am I missing?

Bullpen needs a couple of high leverage arms at the back end of it. I have said for a long time now that I'd like to convert Lodolo to that role if SP depth allows.

The up the middle lineup is as good as any in baseball if MM is back healthy and producing.

Corners and DH are so woefully fucked though I don't think you have enough depth in the minors to trade from to fill them..

It's like we have been saying for 2 years now, either Marte and CES join the party as 2 WAR solid players or better to fill in around the rest or you never really had a window anyway.

LF, RF and DH are still a wasteland even if those two get right. That's a lot of holes in the lineup.

Nothing they can do but innovative trades around the edges of the roster like Lux and sit back and wait for pipeline kids to develop (or not).

Is what it is in the modern game of MLB

I love Larkin, I have a bobblehead of him, but he's awful as a color commentator. Play by play guy just teed him up talking about Chase Burns and there was dead silence for a minute
Because Burns isn't an infielder. Larkin is money when an infielder makes a stupid throwing error. I mean it's always because he took an "extra step," but Larkin's on those situations.
