Cincinnati Reds (2025 is our year! Haha thats actually funny)

Ok so word is Chase Burns is likely to be up in July but where dyes he go? Seems the rotation is pretty good unless Singer or Martinez move somewhere. There doesn't seem to be any stopping his rise to the Majors though so that's a good thing

Just imagine the most fucked up disaster scenario you can come up with.

That’s where he goes.

That’s what happens.

Not exactly breaking news here, and I get you could say the same thing about more teams than just them, but man, they desperately need a cleanup hitter. CES is a 6th hitter at best. Stephenson is not that guy. Doesn't even have to be a star, just one of them guys who hits .230 with 30 homers

The problem is what are they going to do with Elly long term?

If you are going to try and LTC him, then you need to do it then build around that because the simple on field answer is Elly needs help.

By wRC+ at positions we are getting top 5 production at SS, CF and C

The rest is pure dog shit

It turns out all they need is a confidence boost to get a rally going. Other team makes an error, that makes the light bulb go off, "hey if a bunch of us get on base we might actually tie this thing or go ahead."

Gotta hope for the best for a 2nd Pagan inning, assuming that's the plan. It's a good idea since he hasn't pitched in a while, except that relievers so often fail in their 2nd inning. (Elly leaves yard, forgettaboutit).

McClain (2 for 5) making Tito look sagacious for moving him back up to 2nd in the lineup.

Many world champion caliber teams are built strong up the middle long- term so of the Reds get McLains brain on full strength again, I dare say the foundation is better than solid for that. The rotation is pretty fantastic when all are healthy so, if we weren't Reds fans who know better, we might be pretty excited about the current and future possibilities. Alas...

That’s what is so alarming about how bad the corners, DH and pen are.

You have a solid team up the middle and a top 10 rotation.

The rest is pretty much shit.

I said it a couple weeks ago - I don't think Elly's future is at shortstop. I think he's either a centerfielder or right fielder in the future. I don't see the Reds tying up hundreds of millions in a corner outfielder though, so that means Center.
