But like I said, the Reds would be better without so many injuries. And the cubs dodged Hunter Greene this series, but he doesn't look like his old Cy Young candidate self now anyway since coming back from the injury. And we're still waiting on the return of starters Candelario, Hayes and CES. That's 1/3 of the lineup, plus Miley someday. Benson wouldn't have been there to miss those fly balls with Hayes in the game. Of course injuries are part of the game and they seem to hit the reds harder than most other teams every year.
And think of how good the pitching would be with Rhett Lowder, who probably won't return this year, or maybe September if he does.
Speaking of which, Jim Dey spoke with the great Teejay Antone pregame. He said Kremchek installed 8 anchors to attach the tendon to the bone and he feels great. His fastball is only 91 now, though, so we'll see a different Teejay if he makes it back someday.
