Reds take the first 2 in the series vs the Angels. Steer and Elly each reach base 4 times tonight. Diaz looked good in getting the save. May need to re-examine the batting order soon if certain players in premium batting lineup slots don't start getting on base more often.

Only obvious to us fans, Elly is just figuring it out. But hell, almost every young kid gets in the same boat. Other teams and pitchers will realize he's more dangerous as a base runner, then they'll start throwing strikes again. Kid is going to be amazing if he keeps this mindset, love what I've seen so far.

Absolutely, he's such a threat on the base path. If he gets a better eye for the pitch, he's going to be insane.
