I think the next move is a trade of someone on the 26man or lose a catcher. That catcher plan isn't as simple as it seems. TySteve is a fucking awful defensive catcher and game caller.

If I am the GM my targets would be Fraley/Senzel, Newman or Stephenson.

Newman makes the most sense given that they are showing a willingness to eat money to make room for young talent. He isn't likely a DFA either so not a total loss.

Going for 10 tonight and the betting favorite. Got me looking at streaks and damned if there aren't numerous streaks going right now.

14 is the Reds longest streak ever but that will be a seriously tall task with the Braves coming to town next. Oddly enough I feel pretty confident we can get the sweep of Colorado though. What the hell is that labout?!? Definitely easier without Kris Bryant killing us per usual.

Baby steps are boring, let's fucking GO!

I'll be happy to just win the Colorado series if we can and look for whatever move gets CES up here.

Brutal 9 game stretch after this so make hay while to Rockies are shining (if we can)

I'm content just to have relevant Reds baseball. Not going to get myself too spun up about the results. We are a year ahead of schedule and then some.

I learn something new in that article and it's that we got Steer from the Twinkies for Mahle. I've been wondering who else we got in last year's trades so I searched... shortstops Noelvi Marte and Edwin Arroyo and right-handers Levi Stoudt and Andrew Moore for Castillo. And RHP Justin Dunn, OF Jake Fraley, LHP Brandon Williamson (Seattle's No. 7 prospect), PTBNL (Connor Phillips, I believe) for Winker and Suarez.

Mahle and Castillo have good numbers this year, Winker is hitting under .200 and Suarez is probably Suarez.
