The last 30 days our Reds MLB ranks
Offense
T3rd in Runs scored
--4th in BB% rate
--2nd in BsR (Fangraphs)
--17th in ISO
So even a modest jump in power (from god-awful to mediocre) combined with elite OBP and baserunning will move the runs scored needle. Always remember the basic math of the game; 27 outs is the constraint. First job is don't make outs. Second job is to accumulate as many total bases as possible when you don't make the out.
Starters
29th in Runs allowed (5 behind Colorado for worst in baseball)
--10th (best) K rate
--24th in WHIP
----T19th in BB%
----T25th Hits allowed
--30th (dead ass last) in HR allowed
--27th in FIP
Pretty obvious the issue here and it's been a year long thing. Too many HR's and too many guys on base when you give them up.
Bullpen
20th in Runs allowed
--T28th K rate
--T16th in WHIP
----T25th in BB%
----19th Hits allowed
--T18th in HR allowed
--23rd in FIP
It's the pitching. Sweet blue baby jesus is it the pitching.
