Cincinnati Reds 2022 (burn it all down)

For a very reasonable price. Fuck you, Bob.

Castellini led a group that purchased the Reds from Lindner for $270 million, and in January 2006, Castellini was named the CEO of the franchise.

Forbes.com's list of Major League Baseball's most valuable teams in 2022 ranks the Cincinnati Reds 26th of 30 at $1.19 billion.

Forbes: Reds rank 26th in Major League Baseball in value at $1.19 billion

Forbes' Mike Ozanian and Justin Teitelbaum reported that the Reds had a one-year change of 10 percent, moving them ahead of the Oakland A's ($1.18 billion).

Just sayin': As long as the value of the team goes up 10% a year, Bob is not very likely to sell the Reds.

However, rest assured, Bob is committed to winning......

Bob Castellini: Reds' commitment to winning 'has never wavered'

"That commitment has never wavered. It is simply untrue that our resolve to win has waned in any way. I really want our fans to hear that directly from me. Our fans fell in love with these players, as did I, and it hurts to see them go. Players like Jesse Winker, who came up in our organization - and we watched grow from prospect to All-Star. These were very tough decisions made against the realities of today’s game, where money must be invested at every level of our baseball operation."

"We’ve seen that our focus on sustainability through acquiring and developing talent is working. ... We know that the investments in scouting and player development that we’ve made since 2019 are paying off."

"We have more to do. We need to pursue postseason play in this expanded format that is starting in 2022. And we need to rekindle the trust we have lost with some of the fanbase."

"It is my sincere hope that we can restore the fans' confidence. I have read their emails, texts and social posts. This has been difficult for every member of our organization because we have not turned our back on them. Ours is a stewardship we take very seriously, and I am asking fans to continue the journey with us."

"The future is bright, and I have so much confidence in what we are building in the short and long term. We appreciate our fans and cannot wait to see them back at the ballpark."

To be fair, they were talking about Toronto, not the Reds.
No one in their right mind would mention the playoffs in reference to this Reds team.
Of course, one could argue anyone reading a Reds thread is not in their right mind.

I saw Joe Burrow is throwing out the first pitch.
Reds management is actively looking to trade Joe for a 30-yo minor league pitcher as we speak.
