Cincinnati Bengals (Same Ole Bengals)

Heard on the news that Trey Hendrickson is expected to miss a few weeks with a broken wrist. Damn. No word on Boyd (finger) or Higgins (hamstring) yet.
Yes, that hurts. He is the DJ Reader of the pass defense. Always seems to get pressure and he probably won't be in there against Josh Allen. Apparently Ossai had his arm in a sling near the end of the game, as well. Lots of banged up teams at this point...

Amazing win considering all the injuries, but also am concerned going forward if we have that many guys out. We've done an amazing job at "next man up" better than I have ever seen a Bengals team do, maybe a combination of good depth and coaching, but at a certain point when you think of Awuzie, Hendrickson, Higgins, Boyd, etc. being out in the hardest stretch of the year, that is tough to overcome. Hopefully most of those guys are back by the playoffs (aside from Awuzie, who is out the rest of the year).

That TD pass to Chase was one of the best throws I have ever seen at any level...Burrow's stat sheets don't always tell the tale of how well he has been playing this year overall.

Incredible that the Bengals not only have a chance to win the division but have Homefield throughout the playoffs.
A head to head matchup with the Bills on MNF on Jan 2nd could decide the AFC. Tickets for that game are going for $250 a pop on seat geek.

Incredible what a good QB can do for a franchise

These are the times I miss not living in Ohio, I would love to go to that game...atmosphere is going to be incredible. Just really hoping we pull through on the next 2 games, we SHOULD beat Tampa and NE but the problem we have had this season is beating teams we SHOULD beat.

That said, I have seen enough to believe the Bengals have fixed most of their issues, particularly that the OL play has been exceptional for the most part after Week 3...that had to be fixed and it looks like it is more than fixed, both in the run and pass blocking. As long as Burrow and the OL stay healthy, I have confidence in winning on any given Sunday. That may sound crazy but we've been doing it every week lately down 2-4 of our best skill position players.

I'll go a step further.
I understand Zach Taylor gets alot of criticism. It comes with the job and some play calling leaves a lot to be desired.

But he should get serious consideration for NFL Coach of the Year. Given the injuries (Chase, Mixon, multiple defenders), and the new O-Line - he has done a whale of a job keeping this thing on the tracks. And really not even keeping it on the tracks, keeping it in prime position to get a 1-Seed in the playoffs. Not an easy thing to do.

The guy in Philadelphia will probably win it (well deserved), but Taylor deserves some consideration.
