Cincinnati Bengals (Same Ole Bengals)

Hyperbole (because it came in Week 4 against Jags) but one of the best audibles I can recall.

Under a minute, driving for the win, recognizing the defense, staying composed and checking to the perfect call, then executing. That was clutch from Joe. Guy is a baller.

I was thinking the same thing, that audible was pure brilliance in a clutch moment, that play sealed the game when things were far from certain. Burrow can be pretty damn genius sometimes.

did you hear the full explanation on that audible? They had never run that play to CJ before. He just happened to be lined up in that position because of the personnel package on the field. But because everyone is on the same page CJ knew the slot WR route he needed to run. hate to admit it but that’s a sign of a well coached, well prepared team. I’ll tip my hat to Taylor and CJ on that one.

"I think it's a minor ankle injury, I believe,” Taylor said. “I would have to confirm, but he was moving around on it coming off the field. I had no idea what the diagnosis or timeline was."

It would be nice to have Jacques Patrick to bring up from the practice squad now to help out while Mixon gets back to 100%. I thought he would be an obvious addition to the team given his preseason performance. But he's now a 49'er.

Agreed but I do like what I have seen from Perine and I would like to see us use Evans a little more like we did the first game in that Gio receiving role. But if Perine gets hurt, I am concerned then. That said, I think Mixon will be close to 100% by the GB game with the long week of rest.
