Wait...they planned this?

He does not value defense….until he is forced to
He does not value Okpara until he is forced to
He does not value movement away from the ball….until he is forced to

what we have here is a supposed big time coach literally learning the basics of big time basketball while on the job

CH has wasted a ton of talent….some of which he acquired…he is a very good recruiter. He just doesn’t coach to win with those recruits. Perhaps in this humiliatingly pathetic season he has learned to be a better coach. If so, we should exceed his previous ceiling of 1 win in the NCAA tourney.

Maybe he just has to be an underdog?

I think the transfers didn't go as well as hoped - Tanner Holden's picture is on a milk carton at this point - and the freshman not named Brice just needed more time to grow into the college game.

I like what I'm seeing out of Thornton, Gayle, and Okpara now. They should all be really good next season. Not sure Brice will stay, though.

I've been very hard on him this year and IMO be deserved it. But, he also deserves credit for getting these guys playing waaaay above expectations to close out the year. Gives me more hope for next season.
Agree with you on this. It’s great to see the team gel even this late in the season. A great win today with Sensabaugh missing. I hope they’ve done enough to get in the NIT and get some extra practice and game time.
