Chris Berman (official thread)

He.....could.....go.....all.....the.....way!

I never really minded Chris Berman. In fact I actually like him. Who would have guessed that at one time he actually had hair?

The guy I absolutely can't stand on ESPN is this guy:

I always switch channels when Michael Irvin comes on.

If TJ read this thread, he'd declare BKB one of the best posters of all time. Then proceed to describe 3 other posters that way in 10 minutes.

All of those idiots are just peons in the shadow of former Sportscenter anchor Craig Kilborn's excellency.
Kilborn had nothing on Mayne. Eisen & Patrick were no slouches either.

This thread is long overdue.

Berman's act is so tired, I can't believe he's still on the air. And his combover is approaching absurd.

In fact, the whole MNF halftime show is a joke. What's that 'Jacked up' shit? I feel bad for Steve Young, having to sit between Berman, the human characature of himself, and Michael 'Duh U' Irvin.

I miss Al Michaels on MNF.

i HATE chris berman. yes, i'm using the word "hate." fingernails on chalkboards have nothing on boomer. virtually each time he's on, i turn the channel. and who's the moron who decided that having berman as a golf commentator is okay? he belongs in a golf commentator's booth as much as carr belongs at a mensa convention.

In Berman's defense, he's much easier to tolerate than Screamin' A. Smith.

But I completely agree about the SC anchors all trying to be a big part of the show, and thereby making it almost unwatchable.

Indeed...Berman was at least tolerable at one time...Michael "English Is Optional For A Playmaker" Irvin, however, has been as horrible as can be from day 1. and that's JACKED...UP!

Chris Berman falls way down on the list of TERRIBLE ESPN commentators....these guys have me switching channels immediately

Screamin A

Steve Phillips....why are they always pimpin' him for a new GM job...he
sucked in New York

Trey Wingo...worst opinions ever

Desmond Howard..can't speak

Lou Holtz and mARK mAY...say the dumbest crap to get a rise out of people

I don't even want to bring up the two clowns who have the Friday Night Debate...its almost unbearable

Michael irvin is awful

and there are more to mention but i'll stop now

its really unfortunate there isn't a quality alternative to ESPN....theyve done a great job of acquiring rights to everything important and a horrible job of analyzing and reporting the sports they cover

His act is so freaking tired it's sad, let alone annoying, but hey, he'll keep going because "no one circles the wagons like Chris Berman" :shake:
This could be applied to pretty much everyone employed as an on-air "personality" by them. I literally begin to boil with anger when that goddamn "jacked up" segment comes on, and I just change the channel as soon as I see Stuart Scott. He is the embodiment of everything evil and wrong with the sports world today. Also, could somebody tell me how Michael Irvin still has a friggin' job there? If they can't tell that he is baked out of his mind nearly everytime he's on screen, then God help them. I swear I saw Funion crumbs on his suit Sunday.:shake:
