Child from Zanesville dies in school bus crash

Yes it is a tragedy. Say a prayer for the child and the family.

I hope I am not incorrect in this but I believe it has been 20 years since a fatality due to a school bus accident has occurred. I hope and pray it never happens again.

Not to jump to conclusions but, when the bus rolled going to Cedar Point a week or so ago, the kid that was hurt the worst was wearing his seat belt. His injuries were a result of being being stuck in the seat belt and hanging from it.

He missed a whole week of taekwondo classes due to the pain and bruising. While seat belts are certainly a huge safety benefit, they aren't the be all end all.

I would think it would be one of those things where it helps prevent critical injuries and may be worth it for that reason even if it means more semi-severe injuries. Just speculating though...
