Do you suppose that Marty is laughing his head off right now? :tongue2:

I don't know if he's laughing but he had to feel flattered after seeing the game and hearing the chants of "Marty" from the crowd. See, I remember what the Bolts were like prior to Marty. I realize his play-off record sucks, but I also remember the time period in between Bobby Ross and Marty.

The Kevin Gilbride and Mike Riley Era:

1997 4-12
1998 5-11
1999 8-8
2000 1-15
2001 5-11

That's 23-57 over a 5 year period where they didn't even break 500. Not to mention other crazy stats like the fact that they didn't win any game where they weren't leading at the half etc...

I remember going to some of these games, I remember Ryan Leaf and all the horror that came with that.

Now we look at Martys record with San Diego

2002 8-8
2003 4-12
2004 12-4
2005 9-7
2006 14-2

That's 47-33 and a couple playoff appearances, so I am stuck, it's hard to support a coach that means you'll get to the post season but won't progress past that, however, it's even harder to support coaches coming in that can take a team that was 14-2 last year and have them losing more games in the first four weeks than you did all last year.

Well if anyone should know it would be the Chiefs...look at all the Super Bowls they've gotten to since they fired him from there after they decided Lin Eliot shanking field goals in playoff games was Marty's fault :shake:
