38-3, 4th quarter, and LSU runs a fake punt.

I don't have a huge problem with him running the fake (personally, I wouldn't have done it).

However, that particular play was a pretty good one. I wish we had saved that one for a time when it was needed instead of durinag a blowout in a meaningless bowl game.
Now that play is on film, and opponents may be able to recognize it ahead of time.

well, it WAS a great fake........but yeah, pretty classless up 38-3 in the 4th

I think the best defense against the triple option is to just keep blitzing and smacking the QB each play no matter if he pitches it or not. You just have to make him worried enough about getting hit that he pitches before he should etc. Even with all that with a resilient QB it's a tough offense to stop because it gets very confusing.

But yes the other way to defend the triple option is to completely manhandle the offensive line :p

A lot depends on reading the dend coming in(or containment) as well. If you have guards you have to run around(driven backwards),as a qb you are more then likely toast (depending on the location of the rest of the team).
