$5 million in fines, loss of draft picks for a guy who just had surgery and hasn't performed well in the playoffs with anyone other than the best playmaker in the game.

Just giving Hawks fans shit.

Hawks' Kane arrested for robbing, assaulting cab driver
Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane and his cousin were arrested early Sunday morning for assaulting and robbing a cab driver in Buffalo, according to several news sources in that city.
According to a police report, the 20-year-old Kane and his cousin James M. Kane, 21, were arrested around 5am et after allegedly punching the cabbie after he said he did not have proper change for their trip fare.
The report says the cab fare was $13.80 and the Kanes handed the driver $15. He claims he had only $1 change and was not in possession of another twenty cents to give back. According to the police report, both Kanes took their money back and punched the cabbie in the face and head.
Both men have been charged with second-degree robbery, fourth-degree criminal mischief and theft of services.

rumors have the forwards getting 6+m over 5 years, duncan keith's deal is rumored to be a 13 year deal...

one has to wonder then about the likes of barker, sopel (are there suitors at this point) and seabrook.
then on the forwards versteeg, bolland, buff, etc
rfas this summer of ladd, burish etc
ufas eager and madden. etc

No one thinks Patrick Sharp will be a Hawk past this year. If there's anyone interested in Cam Barker, I wouldn't be shocked if he were shipped out. Lots of talent but still very mistake prone. Isn't the PP force he was last year.

Bolley will be a Hawk a long time, Steeger likely not going anywhere. Brouwer is a bargain at 1 million and he's here for this year and next. Seabrook's contract expires with Byfuglien's. There's no way Seabs doesn't get most of Buff's money. Burish is as good as gone with Kopecky hogging up so much money as a 4th liner.

Andrew Ladd is an interesting case... a very good 3rd liner, hits well, goes to the corners, defensively responsible, and isn't too bad in the offensive end. I know the Hawks would love to keep him, they have first bargaining rights but can they free up the money? He's bound to want a raise from his 1.65 million and probably deserves it.

Brent Sopel has been a very, very good Hawk. He's blocked 30 shots which is only 5 behind the Hawks leader, and he's getting about 12 min/g TOI less than everyone in front of him. Plays a lot on the kill on a very good unit. He should be a guy that garners some interest too.

The Hawks will likely be looking for someone to take Campbell's contrat until it's up.

Sharp's their most moveable piece--I expect him to be the odd man out. Hopefully Barker is gone. Sopel could go. I'd like to see Kopecky gone, he doesn't do anything. Then there's Campbell.

Pretty crazy how that Campbell contract almost immediately bit them in the ass. Guess that should've been expected considering the size.. They have to ship him out.. I think I've been hearing of some rumors between Chicago and either Toronto or Ottawa (I think it was Ottawa). I'll check the other places I read later and confirm.

Well, Brian Campbell is playing great hockey, he certainly can't be traded this year. He's so valuable to this team right now.

The Hawks are going to ride it out with what they have and do a bit of dismantling in the offseason. Kyle Beach, Shawn Lalonde, Billy Sweatt, Jack Skille. All names the Hawks' fans might be watching next year.
