Chevy dealer wrecks customers 'Vette - refuses to pay for damages

:yow1: That is a completely fucked up :shake:

I would sue the hell out of the dealership but it sounds like this guy is going to have a hard time paying the $5K for the lawyer....Anyway it sounds like he has a great lawsuit here..I hope he gets 10 Vettes out of this plus a new house

This story seems extremely fishy to me. Something tells me it's pure fiction or a lot of information is missing.

Agreed. Comments like this:
It will take 6 weeks for the car to be repaired, and we will not be driving it even after it is repaired due to the filthy nature of the drugs and the accident. This has ruined the car for us
are pretty off-the-wall.

And frankly, if the guy is making an $829 per month car payment but can't afford an attorney, fuck him....he deserves it for being a dipshit.

yep, this stuff happens ALL THE TIME. you take in a sports car needing work done, it passes you on the highway doing 100+.

this is pretty simple really. if this actually happened he'll sue and he'll win. if it didn't then he won't and this will remain a bitch fest on a message board. 5k for a lawyer or make a claim on your insurance. yeah, not a tough call there.

Now I'm going down to make my $829 monthly payment

... might i suggest something from the cavalier lineup?

Dude takes his Corvette to get an antenna fixed, comes back to find it was taken on a joy ride by an employee and got the front end smashed up. Things get interesting when he finds bottles of prescription painkillers under his seat...

first things first, this guy got financing for a $800+ a month car payment, yet he can't afford to get a lawyer on retainer? Right.

Secondly, if this was truly as he says it is, his insurance company should be throwing a shitfit to get that dealership and that guy who wrecked the car into court immediately.

Finally, this doesn't exactly add up. If the car was wrecked and it WAS NOT the person's car who was driving it, don't you think the Cops would have searched it??? Maybe???

Yeah, in general his "woe is me, what am I to do" attitude is worrisome. If I got dicked over this bad, I would have had their asses in court before I had the time to post my story on a message board. And even if you're not the type of person to sue on the spot, wouldn't your insurance arbitrate the claim and probably end up suing the dealership themselves?

Either way, internet-message-board-justice seems to be in order. This story is popping up everywhere...

similar thing happend to me in high school. One day I pretended to be sick so me, my girlfiend Simone and my friend Cameron went crusing around the city in his dads sports car. While we were at a Cubs game two guys from the parking garage took it for a joy ride and racked up a bunch of miles. After the Cubs game we had lunch at a fancy restaurant and on the way home we noticed all the miles... so we tried to run the car in reverse to get rid of the miles... that didn't work out so well. That was fun day... my High School Principal was a real prick though... and he had a bad knee so he shouldn't be throwing anyone.

ok... so maybe it wasn't very similar :paranoid:

I agree, if he can afford that car..........he can afford a lawyer.

This story does sound fishy, I'm sure that there is more to it.
