Most of you remember that I bought a Beer Meister a couple of weeks ago. I am done with the outside now (stripped, primed, painted and clear coated). anyway, there is a good bit of rust on the inside, some of it behind parts of the cooling unit. Unfortunately, it is riveted on, I have no desire whatsoever to drill out the rivets and wire brush/sand the rust and paint away. What I am looking for is a chemical rust/paint remover (google just inundates you with all kinds of crap leaving you to decide what is relevant). Does anyone have any suggestions? I would be happy to donate a keg and the services to the next BP outing...

Bull Frog Rust Remover works really well. I would strip the paint, then use Bull Frog.. you simply put it on, wait 15 minutes to 1-2 hours depending on the severity and then rinse off.

If you have paint remaining in small locations inside consider using this product ..

Then to clean the interior -
careful use of this product

Do not allow this to sit for ever on the metal - and ask at the store about the comptibility of your material of construction with the cleaning / treating agent.
You may need to go to a contractor store for these types of materials.

I found somebody to strip the rust off my pipes.
