If that would have happened to Ted Ginn or AJ Hawk in Columbus that guy might have been killed. Kiwaunuka is their superstar. I shudder to think what would've happened here.

As for the Reynolds comment. I distinctly remember numerous people here saying get him off the team as well. We, as Buckeye fans, are more fanatical than most people but Woody didn't teach us to fight dirty!

reynolds deserved a stiffer penalty but his was out of frustration(no excuse), butler was blatantly just trying to end kiwi for no reason which is why it is so vicious. and i cant imagine what our fans would do if we had the shoe packed and we all saw a cheapshot like that on an AJ hawk. it is a scary thought to think of. their bus would not leave and people would be throwing shit all over on the field in my opinion if it ended up somebody like carpenter was ejected and the violator only got an offsetting personal foul.

Fucking pathetic, he gets suspended for 1 game. ONE GAME. Someone get him off the football field for a year.

Also, have to love the classy quote from Butler:

Yeah, watching that clip, it's OBVIOUS you were going for the block and playing through the whistle, right? Just lucky that BC DE didn't get seriously hurt; looked like he was already limping and that chopblock could have taken out his knee or something disgusting.

On a sidenote, isn't this BC DE a virtual lock for the first round?

he is so full of complete shit. he was blocking kiwi then completely stopped after it was an incomplete pass then realized how badly injured kiwi was then deliberately went right back into his leg. that guy should never play again.

Wow. That is one of the cheapest shots I've ever seen in any sport at any level. That guy should never play again - what an asshole.

Was there any remorse in that "apology" whatsoever? It must be humiliating to Virginia fan after that. I mean, at least Reynolds looked genuinely shaken up and upset about his incident.

The BC guy got ejected, and the next play I believe, another one took a serious shot at him at got a 15 yard penalty, so I think the BC guys were responding they way they should have.

Wonderful that the assclown can "put it behind him"...wonder if the BC guy will ever be able to....

Lost in all of this is that Al Groh is a bitch...he didn't even take him out of the game, let alone give him any punishment, and as yet I've seen nothing from him apologizing to the young man for almost being crippled by a cheap shot on behalf of his team.

Wow. I missed this one. This might be a time to have a conversation about replay being used with a little broader scope. I don't see any reason why the refs shouldn't be able to take a second look at that. They obviously didn't see it when it happened. Apparently the rest of the stadium got a good look at the replay. The refs should have that opportunity to also take a look in a case like this.

That is total BULLSHIT...it is obvious he was trying to do PERMANENT physical harm to him and all the conference gives him is one game????? Regardless....if I was the coach, his punk ass would be off my team imediately...scholorship revoked. After the Wiscy game in '03, I had to put up with a lot of shit due to a lot of Wisconsin fan friends...and I said that I would have booted Reynold's ass off the team...and I meant it, he is not one of my favorite Buckeyes. There is NO excuse for that kind of shit...IN ANY SITUATION. Total bullshit. I hope every team that punk plays this season guns for his ass. Just don't repeat his sorry-ass actions.

So let me make sure I understand what happened: The play was over and the DLineman was gimpy, so the Olineman cheap-shot'ed him and the Dlineman got thrown out. Wow. Nice one refs.

Glad than dumbass "has it behind him". Nice sportsmanship by Groh too. Hopefully Vagina will get to a bowl game this year :roll1:

It's even worse than that JCOSU...he not only cheapshoted him after the play, but he cut blocked him on his obviously injured knee from the blindside....and yes, the ass-ears didn't even get taken out for a play.

There are always going to be idiots like this guy out there, no matter how much we'd like to not see this kind of crap. I do not agree with the 1 game suspension. I would think he should get at the least 3 games. (Season suspension is more in line)

I do not fault the ref's. They just flat out didn't see it. All they saw was 56 pouncing on the guys. (btw he knocked the hell out of the DE((his own)) I'm not sure if that was grounds for ejection from some of the stuff I've seen so far this year that the ref's are letting go on.

And I've said it before about the ACC, that conference amazes me.
