I give up. This board is too hard to understand.
I'm looking to put up a sight for my family. I'll only need about 500 mb or so. I have the domain name already as I've had the sight up for the last 3 years... I didn't renew with the last hosting company so I'm looking for a new one. I was using Web Hosting Metro. Who's got a good, cheap hosting company?

Maybe I am just behind the times. The link by Clevebucks looks great for you, especially since you need a lot of disk space. Maybe Clevebucks can ellaborate for you how the features are and how the service has been.

Check out www.bluehost.com. They only have one package but it's good. 2G of storage, 75G monthly transfer (bandwidth). They use Cpanel. Good customer service.

Yearly cost $95. Free setup and domain. You also get up to 20 subdomains free.

They're a good outfit.

Okay, my last post - not trying to hijack.

I am a big fan of Cpanel, like nate says his service uses. I would go for Cpanel if possible. Also if possible-- try to find a place that has been around for 5 years or so.

I guess I should've added more than a link...

I have used this company for about 5 years now. The cost has been very reasonable. I really like the fact that I have unlimited POP e-mail accounts. I use one for regular use and another for signups and spam. Also give them to family to use. As for the hosting, I haven't noticed any problems with speed or accessibility in a long time. Granted I don't get as much use out of it as I once did, but still have not had any real problems. Customer service is not bad. If you try to reach them through e-mail it's hit-or-miss it seems, but they do have free toll-free help for more pressing issues.
