Green, who most recently wrote about players on the verge of breakout seasons, is a former NFL scout and director of pro personnel for the Cleveland Browns. He started as an area scout for the San Francisco 49ers in 1998 and '99 before heading to Cleveland and is the son of former Vikings coach Dennis Green.

Jeremy Green: (3:59 PM ET ) Hi everyone. It is great to be online chatting with you guys today.

<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>Ben, Nappanee Indiana: With the city of New Orleans now completely gone. Where are the saints going to play their home games?

Jeremy Green: (4:01 PM ET ) I know they would like to play in Baton Rouge, but I do not see this as a viable option with all the other issues the state is having. I think they will be in San Antonio, or Los Angeles. I believe this team will eventually be the L.A. Saints


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>Kevin Anderson Scotch Plains ,New Jersey: Giants? Wild Card Future?

Jeremy Green: (4:02 PM ET ) I like the changes on defense, but the offense with Eli is not ready. He has missed way too much time this preseason for a young QB. 7-9 - no playoffs.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>Lou(staten island,NY): with the addition of justin tuck,corey webtser,antonio peirce and wilson returning..i think the giants can make up for wat ever the offense doesnt do this season..i'll see u guys in Detriot!!!

Jeremy Green: (4:03 PM ET ) Lou... I may see you in Detroit, but we won't be watching the Giants. I like the defensivve changes, but the offense isn't even close right now.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>hinesville, georgia: where will Peerless Price end up?

Jeremy Green: (4:04 PM ET ) Dallas or Philadelphia. I think Philadelphia is the best spot for him where he can be the #2 next to Owens.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>Pat (Albany, OR): Now that the Seahawks have signed Peter Warrick. Does he become the number two receiver, or will that be Bobby Engram? Did they add him for depth at receiver or simply for kick returns?

Jeremy Green: (4:05 PM ET ) I think he is the #3 early on, though he will eventually get #2 reps as we move into October.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>Jason (Quakertown, PA): How good will the Packers be this year?

Jeremy Green: (4:07 PM ET ) They are going to struggle. Favre has started to show his age, and their defense will be in the bottom 5 in the NFL. They are the 3rd best team in the Division right now.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>TJ (Washington, DC): Jeremy, thanks for doing the chat. Will the Ravens 46 defense be dominating from the start, or will there be some transitional time where it will be vulnerable?

Jeremy Green: (4:08 PM ET ) No, they have to much talent. They should adapt very quickly.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>jason ca: Do you think having reggie wayne, stokley, and james on your fantasy team will be bad?

Jeremy Green: (4:11 PM ET ) only on their bye week. The should all put up huge numbers again this season.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>Michelle, KCMO: Why is Trent Green so underrated? You hear more about Aaron Brooks and he hasn't proved anything as a starting QB in the NFL.......

Jeremy Green: (4:13 PM ET ) Trent Green is not underrated. THe reason he doesn't get a lot of respect is because though he puts up big numbers he throws a lot of INTS at inopportune times.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>Jovan, Dallas: Are we not giving the NFC enough credit? Sure you wouldn't expect the Cardinals to make the SuperBowl this year, but their making strides. Somewhere down the line,the Eagles can't always be the favorite. With the new look Vikings, people talking about Atlanta and Carolina. And who knows, the new look Cowboys, you'd have to think the door is almost closing for the Eagles and maybe a little more respect for the NFC.

Jeremy Green: (4:15 PM ET ) They get more credit than they deserve. In my power rankings I can't find 5 teams in the top 15. After Philly and Minnesota there is a huge dropoff.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>Chad, DC: Will the steelers make it over the hump and win the AFC champ. this year?

Jeremy Green: (4:16 PM ET ) No, I don't believe so. I still think Roethlisberger has too much to learn. Despite his nice win% last season, he struggled way too often.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>Josh (Cleveland): Does Trent Dilfer have to worry about his job after not starting and then Charlie Frye having a very solid game?

Jeremy Green: (4:17 PM ET ) I don't believe so. The Browns would be best served giving Frye a season to learn on the bench. If you look at the histroy of young QB's, those who watched first were better for it in the long run.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>jason ca: should I trade rudi johnson and reggie wayne for dominick davis and chris chambers

Jeremy Green: (4:18 PM ET ) No way. Davis may have slighlty better numbers than Johnson, but remember, Davis has a tendency to be nicked up. Wayne will put up better numbers than Chambers.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>Eric (Arizona): what rookies do you expect to make the biggest impacts this year?

Jeremy Green: (4:19 PM ET ) Demarcus Ware. I think he will get 7-10 sacks in that system. He is going to be a monster for teams to deal with.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>Cole, Fargo ND: When does the proverbial ax fall on Bears general manager Jerry Angelo?

Jeremy Green: (4:20 PM ET ) Grossman getting injured probably helps him for the short term. When they struggle he can now go to his owner and point out that he had to play a rookie QB.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>Joe (Franklin, Indiana): Jumpin' Jahosephat Jeremy!!!! I can't believe the Colts actually signed a quality free agent in Corey Simon. The last good free agent around these parts was Chad Bratzke -- if you call that good. Could this be seen as a move that will finally put them over the top?

Jeremy Green: (4:22 PM ET ) Huge move by the Colts. They finally get one of the two pieces they are missing. If their corners can hold up, I like them to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>Marc (Tempe, Az): So how do you feel about the Cardinals and the chances of getting in the playoffs? They are in one/if not the weakest division in the NFL...

Jeremy Green: (4:23 PM ET ) I like their chances if they get Stepanovich back at OC. Their pass blocking has been horrendous with him out. Their playoffs will ride on Warner staying healthy.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>skins fan: who goes first gibbs retiring or greg williams getting another head coaching gig?

Jeremy Green: (4:25 PM ET ) Gibbs retiring. I don't see Greg Williams getting a HC spot. He was despised by his players in Buffalo and for Owners that is a big problem.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>ja rule ma : is anquan boldin going to have another great season like his rookie year or should i trade him?

Jeremy Green: (4:26 PM ET ) Depends on what you are trading him for. He "was" the Arizona Cardinals as a rookie. They have more weapons now and will spread the ball around too much for him to see those numbers.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>Stephen Davis (NC): Do you think I can carry the load this year and play like I did two years ago?

Jeremy Green: (4:26 PM ET ) No, you are getting old and beat up and coming off a major injury.

Jeremy Green: (4:27 PM ET ) Don't like it. Eli has missed way too much time in the preseason. Young QB's can't aford to miss one rep in the preseason.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>OB (NYC): Is Brandon Jacobs a flash in the pan that the NY media has vastly overblown (a richman's ROn Dayne) or do you see him attaining some success in the NFL in the future?

Jeremy Green: (4:28 PM ET ) No, he is not a flash in the pan. He is a big back with with very good quickness and explosivess.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>Mike (Austin): What do you think of Orton? Can he be a NFL starter, or is it too early to tell?

Jeremy Green: (4:29 PM ET ) No, he has the tools, but it will take time.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>Phil Tampa FL: Do you see the Bucs improving this year?

Jeremy Green: (4:30 PM ET ) Slightly, but they still have one of thee worst O-lines in the NFL and their defense is starting to age.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>Jon (Mobile): Is this the year Atlanta gets over the hump?

Jeremy Green: (4:31 PM ET ) I like the Panthers in the NFC West and the Falcons as the Wild Card. I love Vick as an athlete, but I don't see him making enough progress as a passer.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>Jeff (San Angelo, TX): Is Steven Jackson the real deal in St. Louis?

Jeremy Green: (4:33 PM ET ) Yes, he possess two things you can't coach... size and speed.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>Joshua (Louisville): You think the Bengals will finally make the playoffs this year?

Jeremy Green: (4:34 PM ET ) No, and here is why. They should move to the NFC and be a #4 seed in that bad conference. Though improved they are still only the 7th or 8th best team in the AFC


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>Bret (Dallas,Tx): Best free agent pickup of the offseason, Lamont Jordan, what are your feelings?

Jeremy Green: (4:36 PM ET ) Not the best, but he might be the best fit for a team in need. The Raiders will finnaly get the 1,000+ yard rusher they need to compliment their passing attack

Jeremy Green: (4:37 PM ET ) Not any time soon. They are still explosive, but their receivers are getting older now and while Jackosn is a very good runner, he is not Faulk in his prime.

Jeremy Green: (4:38 PM ET ) Yeah, in about 4 years.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>Joe (Mahwah,NJ): Alrite psycho, all I want to know is your feeling towards the Jets?

Jeremy Green: (4:39 PM ET ) Sorry Joe. I like the Jets as a wild card in the AFC IF Pennington stays healthy. Adding Ty Law finally gives them some maturity for that young secondary.

Jeremy Green: (4:41 PM ET ) One of t he most competitve Divisons in the NFL. San Diego, Denver, Kansas City and Oakland.

Jeremy Green: (4:42 PM ET ) Not talking about QB rating. I'm talking about coming up big in big games. How does Favre rate there?

Jeremy Green: (4:43 PM ET ) Ravens.

Jeremy Green: (4:43 PM ET ) Not very good. Jackson drops a ton of balls, Engram is past his prime, Warrick is always injured.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>Matt (McLean, Va): What do you think the Dolphins chances would be, had they kept Jay Fiedler as their starting quarterback for this year?

Jeremy Green: (4:44 PM ET ) They would be better with Fiedler. Feely and Ferrote don't know to manage a game and that will put a lot of pressure on a pretty good Dlophin defense.

Jeremy Green: (4:46 PM ET ) On defense yes, but they need to develop a QB.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>Joe (Tampa): Better fantasy football QB, Manning or Culpepper?

Jeremy Green: (4:47 PM ET ) Culpepepper - more rushing TD's


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>Sam (Ontario): Willie Parker ? stud or bust? Couldn?t an aging and injury prone back field use a jolt of lighting? All the talk of size being his downfall over shadows his grinding performance against Buffalo last season, doesn?t that mean anything? He?s listed only 1 inch shorter and 10 pounds lighter than L.T, and he?s the best back in the game.

Jeremy Green: (4:48 PM ET ) I like him a lot - has the best speed of any Steeler RB. If you are looking for a good 1-2 week fantasy RB he is a good pickup.

Jeremy Green: (4:49 PM ET ) Talks have takenb place. i think this trade could happen sooner than later.

Jeremy Green: (4:51 PM ET ) Minnesota. I think this is the year the defensive additions pay off.


<HR width="80%" noShade SIZE=1>Mike Sherman(Green Bay): Why did I get a contract extension, my team is going to suck this year?

Jeremy Green: (4:52 PM ET ) Because he was on the last year of his deal and new GM Ted Thompson didn't want this coahing staff spending their days looking f or new jobs when they should be focusing on the season. If they struggle Sherman will still get the hammer in Jan.

Jeremy Green: (4:54 PM ET ) Yes - other than keeping McNair for one more season a total reconstruction is under way.

Jeremy Green: (4:57 PM ET ) Yes. The offensive line is still extremly shaky. They have shown they can't handle the blitz this preseason

Jeremy Green: (4:58 PM ET ) He is a "freak" as a pure athlete, but it does not show up as much at WR. He needs more time to learn the position.

Jeremy Green: (5:01 PM ET ) Because I have a run first, throw second meantality. I feel pressure when there is none and don't have a very good pocket presence.

Jeremy Green: (5:02 PM ET ) William Green has been the most impressive in the preseason. He is the guy early and maybe a little more RB by comittee once Suggs gets healthy.
