Changing Primary Harddrive

My C: drive is now full and I have a D: drive that I want to use as the primary drive to save files. This is a laptop with "80 GB HDD" The D: drive is empty and the D: drive say there is 32.2 GB of 32.9 available.

1. Is this possible?

1a. If yes, how do I go about doing so?

1b. If not, do I have any other options? Such as moving the files from C: to D: by copying then deleting?

Not sure about using the D drive as your primary, but I know Wal Mart carries a Free Agent HD and the 250 GB is 70 bucks or something like that. I think you can get a 500 GB for 90.

So your 80GB is divided into two partitions?

Solved it, apparently I had to format the D: drive. I would have thought this would have been done before I got this laptop. Oh well. Thanks for trying to help me out.
