Barring a dramatic last-minute U-turn, the Miami Dolphins will announce later today that Georgia Tech's Chan Gailey has beaten San Diego offensive co-ordinator Cam Cameron in the race to become their new head coach
 
Not So fast............

The Miami Dolphins have extended an offer to San Diego Chargers offensive coordinator Cam Cameron to be their next head coach, but there is no indication when or if Cameron will accept.

Cameron returned to the Dolphins' complex Friday accompanied by general manager Randy Mueller, raising speculation the team might be on the verge of hiring him. Team owner Wayne Huizenga and chief executive Joe Bailey arrived earlier at the complex ahead of Cameron and Mueller
