It was announced last week that former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson would be making his long awaited comeback to the gridiron. No, not the NFL, but the LFA.
Over the weekend, Chad made his debut in the Mexico’s Liga de Fútbol Americano Profesional, and it didn’t take very long to score his first touchdown. Johnson wore a jersey bearing the name “Ocho Cinco”, for the Monterrey Fundidores, and just absolutely torched some horrendous coverage in front of a crowd of like 17 people.
If that wasn’t weird enough, Johnson was originally supposed to suit up for the Saltillo Dinos in the game, but ended up playing with the opponent instead.
Johnson isn’t expected to play anymore games in Mexico.
