Chad Johnson (official thread)

Re: "I mean, what better week to get a win than against the Browns, you know? What better week?" Chad Ocho Cinco, Bengals receiver

This has to be a fake. The real Ocho Cinco would have actually said sopmething like:

?"Significo, lo que mejor semana para conseguir una victoria que contra los Brownes, usted sabe? ?Qu? mejor semana"?

Ocho Cinco will stick with Johnson jersey for rest of 2008 season

CINCINNATI (AP) -- Chad Ocho Cinco will keep his dual identity for the rest of the NFL season.
The Cincinnati Bengals receiver formerly known as Chad Johnson said on Thursday he'll wear his old name on the back of his uniform for the rest of the season. It would have cost him a lot of money to make the switch for this season.
"We've just left it alone," he said. "I'll just wait and do it next year."
The Pro Bowl receiver legally changed his name to Ocho Cinco before the season in August in reference to his uniform number -- "eight five" in Spanish.
But Reebok, which produces NFL jerseys for sale to fans, had a large inventory of jerseys with his old name ready for sale. While the league respected the receiver's name change, it said he couldn't wear "Ocho Cinco" on the back of his jersey until he compensated Reebok for the old jerseys that would now be a tough sell.
Teammate Keith Rivers had to pay about $10,000 (euro7,800) to change his number before the start of the season.
It would have cost Ocho Cinco far more, given the popularity of his jersey. His No. 85 and quarterback Carson Palmer's No. 9 are the ones most often seen around Cincinnati. The receiver declined to say how much the switch would have cost him.
Ocho Cinco said he can get his new name on the back of his jersey next season without having to compensate Reebok.
"Stupid politics," he said.

Ochocinco plays Vegas slots in underwear

Ochocinco, Courtesy of Ochocinco

When Ochocinco tweeted that he was "walking around MGM lobby in my gold toe socks and h&m briefs seeing who's winning on these slot machines, people looking at me crazy WTF," he wasn't joking. Ochocinco finally provided proof - a photo of himself sitting at a slot machine wearing blue briefs and gold toe socks - and nothing else.

Ochocinco -- Taunting Atlanta Falcons with T-Shirts

1019-mad-chad-shirt-ex.jpg

10/20/2010 12:15 AM PDT by TMZ Staff

Chad Ochocinco is up to his old tricks ... trying to mess with his next opponents -- the Atlanta Falcons -- by sending their defensive backs t-shirts with his mug plastered all over the front.

Sources close to Chad tell us the Cincinnati Bengals star shipped boxes of shirts featuring the "Mad Chad" character from his iPhone app to Falcons cornerbacks Brent Grimes, Dunta Robinson and Chris Owens and safeties William Moore and Thomas DeCoud.

If you recall, Chad sent gift baskets of deodorant to the Baltimore Ravens last year ... so they didn't sweat the matchup. And in 2004, he sent Pepto-Bismol to the Cleveland Browns -- insisting they would be sick to their stomachs trying to cover him.

So why the t-shirts this year? We couldn't get an explanation from Chad ... but we're guessing he'll probably have some sort of explanation before Sunday's game.

Chad Ochocinco Planning to Change Last Name Back to Johnson

Stating on ESPN's NFL Live that he's "done enough with this Ocho thing," Bengals WR Chad Ochocinco confirmed Tuesday that he plans to change his last name back to Johnson. He originally brought up the decision Monday afternoon on Twitter.

"I love Cincy,we are gonna be fine, just a few minor adjustments n we'll be fine, I'll start with my name change 2 Johnson," he wrote.

He told ESPN's Trey Wingo that the name change "was fun" -- the Cincinnati star legally changed his name to Chad Ochocinco just prior to the 2008 NFL season; he was required to wear the "Johnson" nameplate on his jersey that year, but sported the "Ochocinco" tag in 2009 and this past season.

PFT: Patriots reportedly sign Ochocinco

Local 12 CBS in Cincinnati first reported that Ochocinco was traded to the Patriots. Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer confirmed the news and added that Ochocinco has renegotiated his contract to a three-year deal.
The Patriots needed more speed outside, but there are serious questions whether Ochocinco still has that speed. We’ll have more on the story shortly.

The worst thing to come of this and the Haynesworth trade is that after so many years of the media talking about how big of distractions these guys have been, they are going turn around and say the Patriots just made two brilliant moves and anoint them the Super Bowl favorites.

That is exactly is what is going to happen...ESPiN will turn this around so quick, after calling Chad everything from a cancer to the devil himself they will now talk about how great he is and how he is what the pats need to be back on top.
