Too soon old, too late smart
Hey, even Jack, Arnie and Tiger have off days. But Mobley seems to have an over-tall, equally agile person hounding him, with or without the ball. And Mobley does get tired. Against Wiscy, he seemed to be getting shots, but just a tad off. With his defender denying him the ball, and our screeners not exactly bulky, they were fighting through to keep pressure on. Let us not forget that Thornton was way below his scoring average as well, and Devin (though he had an upscale game), couldn't outduel the Wiscy bigs (who always seemed around the basket). Team loss.

Kid doing it. Best player in a long time to wear Scarlet and Gray. Needs one more year to be a complete player though. Keep grinding kid

Agree Bestbuck.....howsoever, he's going to need someone to get him the ball. Don't know too many PGs that both bring down the ball, and then score it. The point of defense is to deny the open shot, or an easy feed to a big. (or so I was taught). Don't really see the logical successor to Thornton, except for Mobley! Maybe there's someone on the bench, but Diebler is successfully hiding them, and they're certainly not getting many minutes, to hone those PG skills. Smell a portal person coming. With Tilly a one-and-don xfer, Noel iffy, and the big guy from Baylor questionable, Bynum cannot be the long rebounder. Anyway, going to be a fascinating off-season.
