It's encouraging to know that Huston kicked 58 yarders in HS. There is no replacing nuge, but we aren't gonna drop down to a Jets placekicker or anything. We'll be fine, plus our offense should be a lot better this season then it has been for the last 3 years (early in 02 we didn't need nuge until Portis got hurt)...

From what I understand, his two biggest kicks (a 58 yarder and a 55 yarder) were both in the same game. Maybe wind had an effect? My point is, he might not (well... most likely not) be as consistent as NOOG (since Nuge was damn near perfect, and it would be damn difficult to be as consistent as him).

Plus I think highschool goal posts are wider than NCAA goal posts.

But still, it is impressive to get a ball 58 yards over D-Linemen and Linebackers and what have you.
