Just keep on drinking the yellow kool-aid. You got spirit, a sense of humor and a flare for the dramatic.... "I'll give my prediction in.... August."
This reminds me of Tom Lemming's special magic trick where he turns into David Copperfield and pulls a weenie out of his butt and gives ND and NEBBers the top ranked recruiting classes.
My guess is that being a Wolverine fan, you like your Wolverines in this contest. It's just a hunch, though.
jaed1341 said:Michigan's cornerbacks obviously will be a little tainted, but still, with Grant Mason and Darnell Hood emerging, they shouldn't be as bad as everyone thinks they are. They have a good, fast corner in Leon Hall and even with Ohio State's speed at receiver, I think Michigan has a chance to shut them down.

With Henne and Hart back, even with Braylon gone, Breaston and Avant will fill in nicely. I think that the play of Troy Smith is going to be the x-factor in this game and if he plays like he did last year, Michigan will be forced to play like they did against Texas. I'll give my prediction in the beginning of August on the game.

Whenever I look around on other forums, such as the Texas Longhorns, all I see is respect. On this site, all I see is hate and no respect at all. When Texas beat us in the Rose Bowl, they deserved all the credit in the world, and both teams played a great game. They gave us respect for putting up a fight. Some fan from this site tried to get a picture of Braylon dropping a pass in the rose bowl. Wow, the guy catches 11 passes and 3 touchdowns and this guy tries to find a picture of him dropping a pass. This shows how he has no class and why Texas fans, who are classy, bashed him. As a Texas fan said, and I quote "buckeyeplanet is a visually annoying website." Please continue to be biased and arrogant, because thats what Ohio State fans naturally are.
We are in good condition for Rolle, Hornsby, and Mays, who are all Rivals 5 star players, and Dickerson, a 4 star. There's a very reasonable chance we get one of those guys, too. If we only got two of these six, our DB class would be very good, and if we (very unlikely) got 3, the class would be superb.2002UNC said:The only DB's I see them getting that are highly ranked is Walls and Brown. They think both are locks but Justin King was supposed to be a lock last year. ND will try to get both and IMO will snag one of them.
Ask Oklahoma if that's a problem. Ask Notre Dame (well, last century) if that's a problem. How about Nebraska or Tennessee? OOS recruiting is simply not an issue for well established schools with weaker football states.2002UNC said:Michigans problem is that they have to rely on recruiting out of state.
I'll grant that we certainly struck out on DBs last year. Missing all three of Harris, Harris, and King hurt badly. However, we already have a commitment from a five star LB in Graham, so exactly how are we striking out there? We weren't even looking for LBs last year.2002UNC said:I know they will get offensive talent but they have been striking out with LB'ers and DB's. They need some superstars really fast in that secondary.
There'll certainly be a mismatch there. However, both OSU and Iowa look to be relatively weak at RB, which could mean a strong pass rush or extra DB, especially with our expected switch back to 4-3. Of course, we still have Herrmann, so who the hell knows.2002UNC said:The problem Michigan will face this year is Mobile QB's with great WR's. Iowa and OSU have the horses all over to expose that secondary. Tate and Smith will burn Michigan with their feet and arms.
Bottom of the Big 10? Beyond OSU, Iowa, and PSU, which teams' secondaries are obviously better than ours? We're middle of the pack, sure, but not bottom.2002UNC said:After taking off my scarlet and gray glasses I still see a secondary that is in the bottom of the conference. If you think your secondary is strong your in for a big suprise this season.
Oh c'mon, mediocre? I guess jaed1341 deserved it, though.MililaniBuckeye said:mediocre Michigan team
Oh please, don't make us wait that long. :( We are all hanging on the edge of our seats to see what you think the score will be.jaed1341 said:..... I'll give my prediction in the beginning of August on the game.
Please stop hurting our feelings, the reason BP is here is to be a great atmosphere for all college football fans to feel loved and appreciated and have nobody on this site talk bad about their team....wait a minute. I think that may be wrong....yes, it is. This is an Ohio State fan site (the best one) where Buckeye faithful come to talk football (and other things) using intelligence, reasoning, and facts to back up arguments (I put those three words in bold so you can look them up more easily).Wow, what did I expect, I try to be unbiased and of course I get a bunch of arrogant, biased fans. And that puts us in the middle of the pack, exactly like I said. Calling us the bottom of the Big 10 is hyperbole.2002UNC said:I'll bite OSU Iowa PSU and Purdue all have better secondaries than Michigan.
I'm not jaed1342. I know our secondary isn't great. It should, however, be passable (no pun intended ).2002UNC said:5th best is not great considering Michigan isn't even close to the top 4.
He's certainly been disappointing, but in fairness, he hasn't had all that much of a chance to show much. He actually played rather well against Texas. He'll have every chance to win a starting job and excel this year.2002UNC said:Wasn't Prescott Burgess a 5* AA recruit. Boy hes shown me alot since hes been at Michigan.
Inflated rankings like Hart (3*) and Edwards (2*) had?2002UNC said:Michigan can take their inflated rankings from their hype recruits and keep'em. I'll take diamonds in the rough like Holms, Hawk and others that are 3* recruits and become forst round draft picks.
I'd be stunned if anyone else from OSU or Michigan would want to, either, due to natural school loyalty and pride. Both schools have recruited quite well in that time frame.2002UNC said:I wouldn't trade any of our recruiting classes with you guys since Tressel has been here.
Evidently. Why don't you try to defend what you posted instead of ignoring how I ripped it apart and posting the boring old party line straight from Bucknuts.2002UNC said:Mile you don't have to believe anything said on this board. Personally I don't care.
*Sigh* I've addressed these points many times. If you're actually interested in discussing this point "realistically," consider my posts in this thread as my response:2002UNC said:I know what I saw last season. I saw a pathetic Michigan defense that has less depth and talent in it's back seven this year. You can be in denial or you can be realistic. The B10 is gonna be alot better this year. I see Michigan losing 4+ games if their defense doesn't make huge strides.
I know our secondary isn't great. It should, however, be passable (no pun intended ).
