This will be a very short series when you can't take a game where Ray Allen & Paul Pierce combine for 4 points.

LeBron needs to attack the rim. It was there tonight several times, he just kept it on the perimeter.
This game at worst should have gone to OT though...the refs really choked in the final minute of this game.

We just strictly did not get it done when it counted...The time when it needs to be LBJ time...He tried, but he just didn't get it done...He had an easy look at the hoop on shots that he makes all the time...
His jumper was putrid tonight and he did all he could to try and help out the team...He had 9 assists...He could of had 15 or so if guys make half the open looks he gave them...
Things I like, Wallace's defense on Garnett, and the rest of the defense...Sam I am got a couple looks from 3 and knocked them down...something that he doesn't usually do...He is good from the midrange, but not 3...
Barkley and crew hit the nail on the head...Mike Browns offense sucks...LBJ was never in the post all game, never on the elbow...He was out top...
I was going to come here and give Brown credit after the great play call where he had Boobie run the screen and roll with LBJ, but that was about the only good call he made all night...LBJ needs to create from the wing, not from the top...
But LBJ will not be held down like this in game two...Honestly I am thinking we could see one of his best games ever...
billmac91;1157816; said:Boston has sent a message...LeBron will NOT beat them this series. I'd love to see LeBron come out and have the game of his life, but the Celtics will not let it happen. He had some chances to get to the rim, but players were sagging all night. Other players are going to have to step up. A repeat of the Detroit series is not about to happen....teams have learned. The Celtics doubled on pick and rolls, the doubled on off-ball screens, they left players completely wide open. LeBron will not single handedly beat this team. It is up to Wally, Delonte, and Boobie to hit outside shots.
It is imperative LeBron looks to score on offensive rebounds and secondary breaks. He isn't going to get any good looks in a half-court set. Boston is selling out. I'd rather see LeBron force shots at the rim than kick it out for contested jumpers.
Congrats to Boston for getting their winning points on a ridiculous toch foul. It's unfortunate a player gets called for a contact foul when he's tangled with another big and trys to release downcourt only to get called for a reach. That was the game.
Not to say Cleveland didn't have other chances, it's just frustrating to see the go-ahead points of a crucial game come down to a terrible call.
