arent there phones and or plans now that you can set the only numbers they can call? i think disney has one or something. in that case i see nothing wrong with an 11 or 12 year old having one. I was 18 before i was allowed to have one though. that sucked b/c everyone else had one in high school

my dad had one of those when I was in high school... he let me use it on the weekends... I would drive around with my friends and call people.... we thought we were soooo cool

My oldest is seven right now. There is no way in hell she gets a cell of her own. Now my wife and I let her use ours for specific purposes, but that's it. I imagine at some point, probably when she starts driving we will let her have one of her own.
