DiHard: "i could tell that by your pic mili.......
im guessing you go about 6-1 and 235 in that pic.....you had that matt keller type look....or aj hawk look.....
maybe you were like me....i graduated high school at 5-10 165......by my sophmore year i was 6-0 210...and it was cut weight....when i was 29 i was 6-0 and 230...and i couldnt wait for spring to take my shirt off.....
with those pipes of yours...i would guess you could do the 225 about 20 times......"
Actually, I'm a tad over 6'0" and right at 215 (I've already lost the 5 pounds I gained on the cruise). Yesterday was the first time I benched in over two weeks, and I got 320 up (no spotter) and could've gotten 330 or so had I had a spotter. I first warmed up with about 20 reps at 135 to get loose, did 10 reps at 225 (could've got 3-4 more had I had a spotter) and 5 reps at 275 before hitting the 320 max. The most I've ever done at 225 was 16 reps, and the most I've done at 275 was 12 reps...that was when my max was 355. I'm still have a bit to go, but I'm getting there. The Tinman Triathlon in July is going to put the skids on some of my heavy lifting though.
Brutus1: "Mili,
Fitch could certainly use your services now, especially after that 'move' to the Federal League last season."
Who all is in that league? I followed Fitch a little last year and they seemed to be doing decent for a while...weren't they ranked #3 or #4 in their region for a couple weeks? I can't believe they got rid of the SVC...
C-Dog: "I had about 6 months of dead time when I was waiting to pack up and move out for NROTC, basically spent my days training my replacement and working out. I left Hawaii (not for NROTC in the end) around 230 and it was all good weight.
Although, according to the BMI, that's obese. Then again, according to the BMI; Lydell Ross, Michael Jenkins, AJ Hawk and Will Smith are all overweight to obese too. lol. Have to love those sweeping standards."
The Air Force got semi-smart in the mid '90s when they shifted focus from body weight to body fat percentage. The system for measuring body fat was still f**cked up, but at least if you were "overweight" you weren't automatically put on the "fat boy program".
