CB Eli Apple (All B1G, National Champion, Los Angeles Chargers)

I see the visit with his parents this week as a mere formality. Show the parents the campus, meet the coaches and players, etc. The young man is making the sell to his folks. I would be VERY surprised if he doesn't verbal this weekend. Too many people in the know (WAD, NB, Bill, and others) saying he's a Buckeye....SOON!

His commitment has been forthcoming since last year.

:oh:

Woodard and Burrows are a pair of big, physical, yet athletic and versatile corners. To have one of them in a class would be excellent. To have both is flat killer. With the front seven that is being built around here, combined with Reeves, Burrows, and now, likely, Woodard, as corners in the last two classes, the future is extremely bright for this defense.

If you have a killer d-line and secondary, your defense will be almost impenetrable. If you add a couple of stud linebackers to the mix, you win championships... The defense Urban is assembling will rival the Alabama and LSU units we have seen over the last few years, to go along with an explosive offense.

Scout (Free) - Decision Day for Woodard

2/13; By The Bank

Eli Woodard is one of the top cornerback prospects in America, and the four-star from Voorhees (NJ) Eastern has set a date to announce his college choice. "Wanted to let you know that Eli will be ending his recruitment. He will be making his public announcement this Thursday at 4PM via Twitter," Tim Apple, Woodard's father, stated.

Woodard, 6-foot, 180-pounds, completed an unofficial visit to Ohio State this past weekend, and the Buckeyes are strong contenders to land his services.

He also holds offers from such schools as Notre Dame, Alabama, Georgia Tech, Miami of Florida, Michigan, and several others.

Woodard has already been selected to play in the United States Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio next January.

Urban sure is making a sick defense and I believe can rival Bama and LSU in a few years (hopefully neither of those teams get Nkemdich though, that would be just unfair :yow1: )
