CB Denzel 'Hurt! My! Feelings!' Ward (All B1G, All-American, Pro Bowl, Cleveland Browns)

It’s so unfortunate when you think about Ward, Chubb, and Garrett. There were the beginnings of a nucleus and then the owner fucked it all away with the Watson deal.
Put Mayfield back on this team, and then let the Browns have all of those draft picks from the past 3 years? 4 years? I forget. I don't follow NFL a lot - I just watch the Browns because of where I live, and I'm not going to be "that guy" who changes his team. Back to my point - add all those guys to this team, and you've got a decent team, again. That's my guess, anyway.
I believe that you have to TRY to be this bad. A dummy like me flipping a coin couldn't be this bad for 25 years.

I did not realize he has had five concussions since he was drafted in 2018. Not good.

I'm actually surprised it's only 5. I'm also surprised he doesn't wear a Guardian helmet for games. Here's to hoping it's minor and he gets back on the field soon. He's been playing great this year.

Ward takes two

Denzel Ward’s first two takeaways of the season came in the same game.

The former Ohio State cornerback grabbed his first interception of the season in the first quarter of the Browns’ game against the New Orleans Saints as he hauled in a deep heave from Saints jack-of-all trades Taysom Hill.

Later in the first half, Ward forced another turnover when he stripped the ball out of Hill’s hands and recovered the fumble himself.

Ward went back to the locker room after that play with a chest injury but was able to return for the second half. He finished the game with four tackles and two passes defensed and received a Pro Football Focus grade of 92 for his play, the fourth-highest game grade of any NFL defender in Week 11.

His efforts weren’t enough for the Browns, who fell to 2-8 on the season with a 35-14 loss, but they were enough to earn him the Pro Buck of the Week award as Week 11’s top NFL performer from Ohio State.
