The Ohio State football program has been known for putting a lot of great cornerbacks in the NFL. While it's not at the same rate as wide receivers, they have still put in a lot of really good corners, mainly in the last 2010s. That was the heyday of corners for the Buckeyes.

Most of those corners have gone on to do good things in the NFL. Some of them have had some injury problems, while still others have fallen out of the league completely. The latter is what happened to Damon Arnette after he was a surprising first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Arnette had a lot of problems in the NFL. He was released from the Raiders after just two seasons. He hasn't played in an NFL game since, only being able to make some practice squads. Now he's in the UFL, playing for the Houston Roughnecks. Apparently, he thinks he's made a complete turnaround.

Arnette claims that he's made a complete turnaround with his life, in addition to his football life. According to him, the coaches have him on the right track. In fact, he thinks that he's more of a professional than he ever has been in his life.

There are a lot of things that still need to happen for Arnette to make it back to the NFL. He still has to prove to teams that he can actually stay out of trouble. In addition to that, Arnette has to prove that he has improved as a cornerback. A few games in the UFL aren't going to prove anything.

Arnette was always a confident player. Quite frankly, he was cocky when he was with the Buckeyes. Now, that cockiness is back. He still has to figure out a way to prove to NFL teams to give him another chance.

Just two years ago, Arnette was indicted on multiple gun charges. He has to prove that those issues are in the past and that he is only focused on football.
