Still looking to develop chemistry on a revamped roster and familiarity with a new system, the
Cleveland Cavaliers look to snap a two-game losing streak when they face the
Toronto Raptors at the Air Canada Centre.
After winning their opener at home Wednesday, the Cavaliers dropped the first two games of a three-game road trip. Cleveland was routed 102-76 by San Antonio on Friday, then defeated Memphis 113-106 on Saturday.
LeBron James scored 36 points against the Grizzlies and key offseason acquisition
Larry Hughes added 21, but Cleveland was unable to hold a 78-71 third-quarter lead.
``Part of it is the inexperience of us building and hanging onto a lead, and part of it is the newness of the system,'' Cavs first-year coach Mike Brown said.
The Cavaliers spent $150 million during the offseason to sign free agents Hughes,
Donyell Marshall and
Damon Jones, and re-sign
Zydrunas Ilgauskas. All four players are averaging double digits in scoring to supplement James' 29 points per game.

That streak could end against the Raptors, who have yet to score more than 100 this season.
A rough early schedule has been a major factor in Toronto's 0-3 start. The Raptors have lost to Washington, New Jersey and Detroit -- all playoff teams last season.
``I think our guys are just overwhelmed -- this is a brutal way to be introduced to the NBA,'' Raptors coach Sam Mitchell said. ``But no one feels sorry for us, and we can't feel sorry for ourselves. We just have to remember these beatings and give them back someday.''
Despite a 25-point performance by
Jalen Rose, Toronto was routed 117-84 by the Pistons on Saturday.
``We just got beat,'' Mitchell said. ``It's not going to get any easier, either.''
The Raptors now have to deal with James, who had 27 points, 14 rebounds and 14 assists at the Air Canada Centre in Cleveland's final game of last season.
