Should be an interesting game, the Cavs have had some close calls in the past week or two, Boston is going to try to establish that they are the dominant team in the east. Even without KG the Celtics have more weapons than the Cavs, but that one major weapon the Cavs have is a lot better than anyone playing on Boston. Ugh.

Will we be seeing Joe Smith? I hope so, he played well against Boston in the playoffs last year and could provide some key depth to help the Cavs win this huge game. A three game lead in the loss column, plus Cleveland having the tiebreaker over Boston would be tough to overcome for the Celtics when you consider the Cavs remaining schedule which is loaded with home games.

I truly believe that we are the better team this year. I think Boston has the biggest matchup overall as we really don't have anyone that can consistently guard KG, but he is not playing tomorrow night...
With West being able to guard Allen, and LBJ on Pierce, then Z can step out and really hurt Perkins...

Rondo is a helluva facilitator, he averages 12 points a game and 8 assists, that's not bad for a little guy. Zilgwhatever, Mo and West can score, but that's because everyone closes in on James, we'll see what happens, I just think there's enough talent on Boston to make this game interesting. Let's put it this way, we have taken KG out of this game, ok that's an all star. Now are you worried? Is this a walk over?
If you took LBG out of Cleveland, would you say "I am not worried, Mo, West, and Z will do this, we won't lose a step" ?

Don't get me wrong Lebron is what makes the Cavs a championship contender, but even if you take him out they are still a playoff team. Often the Cavs go on a run when Lebron goes to the bench in the second quarter because everyone else picks up their game. If you take Kobe out of LA or Howard out of Orlando they would both lose a step like the Cavs would with Lebron. The Celtics can hand an injury to one of their big 3 better than anyone else could handle losing their best player, but that doesn't mean that they are anything other than the 3rd best team in the league.

We are a championship caliber team with them in the lineup vs not having even one of them, we struggled when west was down with injury. Yeah they are getting more open looks then they probably would without LBJ, but it is also their ability at the end of the shot clock, in clutch situations where we don't have to hand the ball to LBJ because he is the only guy that can create his own shot.
And Z can get his own shot against anyone in the post, and also the ability of him to be able to step out to even the 3 point line spreads the defense and pulls the other teams big man away from the hoop.
Obviously this is not a walk over, we are in Boston. If it was in Cleveland wihtout Garnett, I would say we are looking at a double digit win if we play our game. We hae not won in Boston since they got the big 3. And they have not won in Cleveland, but all other games usually have a spread of say 8pts or so. I think game 7 last year had a spread of about 9 or 10, this game is at 1.5 so we have obviously gotten better, and I think this is our time to step up and put it to them in their house with KG or not...I say a 5-10 pt win. But it will for damn sure be a hard fought game. They are still a damn good team. They still have guys that can score the ball with KG out, but they drop down some in defense...

The Celts thin frontcourt got thinner with Davis' ejection. I'm surprised Boston is doing so well with this unit. Still time to see if they wear down late and LeBron can work some magic, though.
