Cavs 08-09 Season - Central Div Champs (official thread)

Nice bounceback game tonight...

LBJ finally found his jumper in the 4th quarter...he did a great job of distributing to hot shooters in the first quarter and some in the second quarter...

Hate when we get stagnant and try and run everything thru LBJ when LBj's jumper is not falling and he is not looking to penetrate...That was when NO made their run till LBJ got energized with that awesome putback dunk...

the pistons really aren't a threat this season. i can't see the cavs beating them in less than 6 games. i would say more like 4 or 5.

I'm not worried about the Pistons at this point. Right now it's the Cavs, Celts, and Magic in the East. The 1 seed in the East is going to be huge so that they can avoid a hard second round matchup.

Right now, I'm more concerned with the Magic than I am with the Celtics.

Agreed.

The thing with the Celtics is they will be old by the time the playoffs spin around, and we should be able to beat them in a 5 or 6 games series. The Magic however are dangerous, the 3 point shooting can come up at any time, and if the opponent drops 27 3's, it don't matter what you do.

I disagree with you guys...The Magic have never been on the big stage...The Celtics have, and they have tons of talent even tho they are struggling right now...

Obviously the Magic could go off from long range, but I think overall we have more talent and I would think over a 7 game series we would win out...

Not if they go off from 3 point land 4 times. Unrealistic maybe, but I find it more realistic than the old ass no depth Celtics beating us out.

I know someone had said there was a rumor of the Cavs being interested in Marcus Camby.....I doubt that is likely after tonight. It is not being reported as a serious injury yet, but his ankle can't be right if you've seen the highlight.

I doubt we'd give up any of our bench or the future for a guy with a bum ankle for a few months.

Not that it was likely anyways....

Yeah but we can score too...They are not realistically going to hit that many 3's in 4 games that we just can't even score with thme...

I think the thing that would stop Orlando from hitting that quantity of 3's against us is our team D. The teams that are allowing that many 3 don't play good defense. How many games have they had this season where they've been that hot? and how many of those games were against good teams. Too bad we are likely going to be missing Z and West for at least the first Magic game this year.
