It isn't all about being able to score...It is about being able to create, and taking the pressure off of LBJ in terms of having to be the Point Forward all the time and can open him up to post up, and find ways to get easy scores...

thats what i said...Just shorter:tongue2:

O yea...Hughes is back to his old self

Cavs and LeBron covet Kidd, but at what price?

ason Kidd + LeBron James = a title?
"It's that easy," James said in a proclamation that should make you glad he's a basketball player and not your portfolio manager.
It wouldn't be easy even in comparison to acquiring Kidd, which for the Cavs is next to impossible. The Nets would not only have to want to deal Kidd within the Eastern Conference, ignoring entreaties from Dallas and others. But adding Larry Hughes' bloated contract when they already have a financial blimp in Vince Carter?

I'm doing my part to get Kidd in Cleveland and get Hughes sorry ass out of town. I've combed the real estate listings and found a perfect new house for Hughes in New Jersey:

235202682

BRICK, NJ
  • $689,000
  • 4 br, 2 full ba
This gorgeous 4BR/2BA BRICK expanded Ranch on 1 acre has a full bsmt., and features a regulation tennis court, in-ground heated pool w/spa, octagonal BRICK pool house w/full kitchen & 2 tiled baths; slate & BRICK courtyard w/BRICK BBQ. Close to everything, yet a private Shangri-La.

Homes.com - Real Estate and Homes For Sale.

The only change is that it should have a bedroom/bathroom ratio of 2/11, so it matches his shooting percentage.

NBA roundup
Nifty shot by James lifts Cavs

Thursday, January 31, 2008 3:32 AM

From wire services
LeBron James' reverse layup with less than a second left last night gave Cleveland an 84-83 victory over the Trail Blazers in Portland, Ore., the Cavaliers' fifth straight win on the road.

Portland led by as many as 14 points in the second half, but James -- who had 37 points and 14 rebounds -- hit three consecutive three-pointers to tie it at 81 with 2:26 left.
Travis Outlaw's jumper put the Blazers back in front, and they still held a narrow lead when Drew Gooden missed one of two free throws.
Steve Blake missed a three-pointer with 55 seconds left, but Portland stopped Cleveland at the other end.

Count on Hughes and Gooden to have issues until Kidd gets moved. Both have to know that if the Cavs make a deal they will be in it. Too bad this is really when we need both to step up the most.
Hopefully the bench can step up tonight because I don't know if Lebron can put on the cape 2 nights in a row with a sore ankle.

Any word on if Lebron will be ready to go tonight? I'm sure he could play, but understandably so when he gets even a little tweak we like to keep him out. It'd be great to get a win without him, just as a confidence builder for the other guys, even if it is against the lowly sonics.

edit: from cavs.com.. he will be re-evaluated in the morning and status will be updated accordingly. tbd

Hopefully they plan on suiting Shannon up tonight, because with Sasha and LBJ out, I think that other than boobie he could be the most effective scorer we have, and that is clearly what we are going to need...Even if LBJ does play i don't think against Seattle that he needs to put up 45 minutes...35 should be enough...

If Lebron doesn't dress Brown will have to. They have 15 players on the roster and 2 of them are already out. The way Mike Brown's mind works they might even start him. Hate to mess up the bench rotation. :p

Did I mention how much of an idiot Mike Brown is...I was happy that he had one timeout down the stretch tho last night...

Hey guys, Just wondering is there anywhere I can go that will give me live score updates on the game tonight. I dont have FSN for some reason anymore so I cant watch the game.

NBA.com is probably the best place to go, or espn.com...

Just curious what cable company you have and where you live...Did they just take it away without notice or change the channel to something else?
