Cassette tape Thursday.

Hang on Sloopy
In the past couple of days we have revisited some of the ways we listened to music growing up. Today we are taking a look back at the wonderful cassette tape. How many of you remember having to rewind or fast forward to get to a song you wanted to hear?

Today's question is two part. Do you still have a cassette tape collection and do you still own a vehicle that plays cassette tapes?

For me the answers are, yes I have a cassette tape collection and no I do not own a vehicle that plays cassette tapes.

Traded in nearly my entire cassette collection (200+) years and years ago at a music exchange store for CDs. The few cassettes I still have are off the wall stuff, or small label bands that weren't widely available on CD in the early 90s, mostly punk and metal like Dead Milkmen, Ludichrist, Scatterbrain, D.R.I., etc ...

Still have my Led Zeppelin cassette boxed set also.

Yes, my car has a cassette player, in addition to my line in for my iPod and an in dash 6-disc CD changer.

I bought the premium stereo when I bought the car.

I have hundreds of cassettes, 90% of which are Dead shows, the rest of which are other live recordings (Phish, etc). I have a tape deck in my truck but it has a tendency to eat tapes, so I don't use it anymore. I listen to my tapes at home when the mood strikes.

We still have BOXES of tapes, the worst part of all is the fact that we have most of the stuff on MP3 now yet don't want to go through all the tapes in the garage.

Don't have a player in the car tho, I just got a new car a year ago, before that tho I used to have TONS of tapes in the car to listen to.
