Loyal MZone reader LM sent us the following ad for John Morrell smoked sausages featuring 2002 Heisman Trophy winner and current Cincinnati Bengal quarterback Carson Palmer.



Now I know what everyone's saying: "Not that there's anything wrong with it." And I agree. But seriously, how does his agent or publicist - or Palmer himself - let this one get published? Even as a joke, this makes all those pictures of Brady Quinn look like Sean Connery, circa 1964.

If you were stuck being QB for the Bengals you'd realize that:

a) you weren't going to get that many chances to shill anything, let alone a hot dog.
b) you'd already shamed yourself by appearing in one of their clown suit uniforms.
c) there was an excellent possibility that you sucked.
