Year after year, show after squandered show ... I'm getting just about sick and tired of Syfy cancelling amazing television shows.

Seriously wtf.

What else have they cancelled? Galactica ended. The only other show I watch is Eureka. I can understand why Caprica is getting cancelled. I watch, but I won't miss it.

Enjoyed BSG very much. Liked the Caprica mini series, but didn't get into Caprica.

FWIW the series will come to a conclusion next year.

Also as I understand it, they cancelled to give us BSG Blood and Chrome. A series taking place between Caprica and BSG following a young Adama serving in the Cylon wars.

If BSG was some kind of medium between pseudo polotics, religion and an action show, Caprica is the pseudo politics and religion, and I think Blood and Chrome will be the action show.

so there is that...

No Caprica won't come to a conclusion. They cancelled the series, no season 2.

The producers have said that Season 1 does not tie up any of the story line and the season finale has "multiple cliffhangers" when it comes to story lines

I like/liked the show. It was intelligent and the effects were well-integrated. I think it lacked a channel. SyFy was the obvious place for it, but it clearly was too slow moving to last. This new BSG should fit the bill with the SyFy demographic.

Syfy sucks with how it handles spinoffs.

I *like* Stargate Universe .. but my feelings for how the whole Atlantis ending happened to lead into SGU tainted my viewpoint. I might really love that show otherwise, but it sticks with me.

I have a feeling it'll be the same with this new BSG series.
