Glad that you’re on the mend. You’re absolutely too young to have to deal. Next time I’m down your way to see the grand-kiddo, I’ll ping ya and bring a Taylor Brewing goodie over… if the wife will let ya!
Deal. May have some follow ups in the Westfield/Grand Park area anyway.

Or the Bucks need to finally get back to Indy for a Big Ten Champ. Been too long my friend.

Got some initial biopsy news last night. It was a cancerous tumor - Giant Bone Cell (new edit- okay, this may not be “cancerous”technically. Still waiting to learn/confirm this thing)

I know, everyone quick go google it. I’ll be honest, I haven’t and am just listening to what’s in front of me.

Rare but not in “scary” rare sense, I guess. My understanding is the tumor is it and it’s been removed (er well, 90% estimated). So it’s not really a “threat” or something that attacks other areas.

Now I was also told there was some “inconclusive” part of the mass they want to check more. But it’s being framed more about how they want to 1) make sure it isn’t more aggressive since they don’t know much and 2) how to treat any remaining parts and prevent it from being aggressive if it could be - which hormones or steroids or other medicine reacts best to it…or if I need some other radiation etc.

Sucks that part is still hanging over my head but I am feeling positive to get through this. Back is recovering, getting more movement each day. Fortunate mine may be an “easy” cancer and I’m close to fixed up. If not, I’ll deal with what I have to for treatment and get through it.

All good over here, Bucks.

Neurosugeon just gave me the go ahead to get released today. Last hangup was the surgery/back fluid draining but they pulled that and will let all the tissue heal.

Should be out today. Then it’s recovery, rehabing legs feet, check ups and managing this thing.

Also, may have jumped the gun on “cancer” since I’m learning the term and condition is more it was “just” a tumor. I’m a dumb business jock so I don’t know these things and it’s been a lot to process this week. Still need to meet with pathology and oncology once results are final.

Honestly, petty but I’m not trying be an ass as some “cancer survivor” when all I did was get some mass vaccuumed off my spine. There are survivors that fight way more than I will. I don’t know.

Saying I went through emergency reconstructive spinal surgery is bad ass enough for me. :biggrin2:

Every day getting better. Gonna be on the other side of this soon.
